Tim Willard

An author and speaker, Tim Willard freelances articles, collaborates with best-selling authors and has served as the small-group study editor for organizations such as Catalyst, Q and Chick-fil-A Leadercast. He is an MA candidate at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary specializing in Christian Thought.

As a boy, Tim watched his dad’s church plant suffer a bitter split. It would take an expulsion from a prominent Christian university to sift through his bitterness toward the church. The next 17 years were much kinder. He finished college, toured the country as a musician, and taught around bonfires with hundreds of students. Tim’s passion for discipleship, the Bride of Christ and intimacy with God serve as the impetus for his first book Veneer: Living Deeply in a Surface Society (Zondervan).

He lives somewhere north of Atlanta with his two enchanted daughters, Lyric and Brielle, and his beautiful wife, Christine.
